Bill plays guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, harmonica and more. In his solo act, he sings and plays guitar along with backing tracks of various instruments he plays and records in the studio. You could call him a one-man-band. His multi-instrumental ability creates an exceptional act suitable for restaurants, clubs or private parties.
Stu Grimes has been a great addition to the Cat Daddy lineup. Known as one of Virginia’s top drummers, he also has a great ear for harmony adding a solid third voice so important to the Cat Daddy sound. Stu always has friends coming to see the band. With his easing going and friendly personality fans find refreshing and approachable. It’s no wonder Stu is in demand.
Stu became interested in the drums at the age of seven when he saw Buddy Rich play on TV, and after seeing the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show, like thousands of other musicians, he was hooked. As a result, Stu has had an illustrious career playing with such acts as The Younger Brothers, The Coasters, BJ Thomas, Johnny Rivers, Little Ronnie & The Bluebeats, Tinsley Ellis, Chuck Leavell,Clarence ‘Gatemouth’ Brown, Robbin Thompson, SteveBassett, Big City, Gary Puckett & the Union Gap, The Grassroots, The Taters, The Chris Stanley Band, and of course, Cat Daddy!!
Gary Jacobs who joined Cat Daddy in 2009 lays down the solid bottom end on bass and brings a tremendous singing voice. Gary has been playing for decades with mostly a country and classic rock background and is the consummate professional.
Cat Daddy features the finest professional musicians in Virginia. They have the ability to cover any style of music including Classic and Modern Rock, Dance, Funk, Country, Jazz, Blues and more. Cat Daddy always delivers excitement, adapting their setlist to the crowd. Since all members of Cat Daddy sing in addition to their high level of musicianship, the sound coming of the stage is equal to bands that have many more members.
Restaurant, club and bar owners love Cat Daddy because we play to the crowd. With experienced professionals like Cat Daddy you can be sure you are hiring a band that will read the crowd and play the music from our extensive variety that fits the age, style, and mood of the house.
